The process begins with seedlings raised in commercial hatcheries, ensuring optimal growth conditions and genetic diversity. These seedlings are then deployed on consented lines off the Coromandel and Hauraki Gulf, where they mature into seaweed-shellfish farms. GreenWave Aotearoa has developed detailed protocols for every stage of the farming process, including hatchery operations, seeding, outplanting, harvesting, and supply chain logistics.
