Product description
GEI’s core solution is an advanced biorefinery fermentation platform that converts non-food biomass—such as wood, agricultural residue, and plant matter—into carbon-neutral fuels and green chemicals. Using a proprietary process based on microbes like C. glutamicum, this technology offers high yields and cost-effectiveness versus conventional fermentation, avoiding competition with food supply chains. Applications include bio-jet fuel, bioethanol, and biodegradable resin precursors, enabling industrial clients to replace fossil-derived inputs with sustainable alternatives. GEI has pilot and commercial partnerships, including an MoU with JAL, Airbus, Nippon Paper, and Sumitomo for wood-based SAF; a joint JV for woody-biomass ethanol; and NEDO-supported pilot facilities. This platform empowers manufacturers and governments to adopt green chemistry at scale, contributing to climate goals and resource circularity.
