Product description

everwave’s flagship solution employs a river-first approach to combat plastic pollution. It begins with AI-enabled drones that scan riverbanks and waterways to identify waste hotspots. Targeted cleanup is then executed via purpose-built floating boats, intelligent barriers, and manual labor to capture debris before it reaches the ocean. Collected waste is immediately processed through nearby mobile sorting containers or at zero-waste centers—such as those in Cambodia and Thailand—and sorted locally for recycling or thermochemical recovery. Every kilogram of debris corresponds to a Plastic Credit, enabling companies and individuals to purchase credits (1 € per 1 kg) to offset their plastic footprint. Certified tracking software transparently records each Plastic Credit from collection to certification. Clients receive detailed waste-collection certificates and media-ready content to boost sustainability communication. Surplus recyclable materials are reintroduced into circular economies, while non-recyclables undergo clean thermal processing. The solution fosters long-term impact by building regional infrastructure, generating jobs, raising environmental awareness, and involving local authorities. Through this data-driven, scalable methodology, everwave transforms river cleanups into measurable, traceable, and accountable environmental investments—contributing to clean waterways, resilient waste systems, and greener communities.

About the Company

everwave is a German clean-tech social enterprise founded by Marcella Hansch, Clemens Feigl, and Tilman Floehr. Using innovative floating boats, barriers, manual cleanups, AI-powered drones, mobile sorting systems, and zero-waste centers, the company intercepts plastic and other waste in rivers before it reaches the oceans. With a model of one euro funding one kilogram of waste collected—represented through transparent Plastic Credits—everwave partners with over 130 companies and collaborates with local governments, NGOs, and communities across Europe and Asia. By recycling collected debris through mechanical, thermo-chemical, or biotechnological processes, they reintegrate material into circular waste streams while minimizing landfill and marine pollution. Projects in Thailand, Cambodia, Albania, and the Balkans illustrate a global reach and sustained impact. Their river-based strategy tackles plastic pollution at the source—preventing further ocean contamination, reducing environmental harm, and creating green jobs and infrastructure. This holistic, multi-stakeholder approach demonstrates everwave’s deep commitment to fostering a healthier, more sustainable future for waterways and oceans worldwide.
