Product description

PLAEX LinX is a revolutionary modular building system designed for landscaping and hardscaping applications. It is made from over 90% recycled thermoplastics and construction waste, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional materials. The system is fully interlocking and mortar-less, providing both aesthetic flexibility and structural resilience.

The key innovation of LinX lies in its three-point locking system, which simplifies installation and eliminates the need for cutting, mortar, screws, or nails. Independently tested, LinX demonstrates compressive strength comparable to conventional concrete (20–30 MPa) while being up to 400–1 250 % more resistant to chips and breakage. Additionally, it has just 0.37% water absorption, ensuring long-lasting durability.

From an environmental perspective, LinX significantly reduces CO₂ emissions by approximately 138% compared to traditional materials. It also offers 5–30% cost savings on total project budgets, with a remarkable ROI ranging from 200–400%. This makes it an attractive choice for individuals, contractors, public authorities, NGOs, and businesses looking for sustainable and cost-effective landscaping solutions.

Furthermore, LinX is designed with modularity in mind, allowing for easy disassembly, reuse, and recycling at the end of its life cycle. This supports circular economy principles and contributes to the reduction of construction waste, making it a truly eco-friendly solution.

About the Company

PLAEX Building Systems Inc. is a Canadian sustainable construction innovator founded in 2020. The company transforms difficult-to-recycle plastic and construction waste into durable, interlocking building blocks—called PLAEX-crete—composed of over 90% recycled materials. Their modular Brick & Panel system and LinX solutions eliminate the need for mortar, reduce resource use, and shorten build time. By diverting plastic waste from landfills and offsetting approximately one tonne of CO₂ for every 100 bricks produced, PLAEX advances environmental stewardship while offering scalable, reusable building solutions. Their products target non-occupied structures such as retaining walls, landscaping, and storage, with ASTM and CSA certification underway. Leadership in innovative waste repurposing and modular design positions PLAEX as a key player building toward a more sustainable, low-carbon construction future.
